Hello coaches, I have liked basketball since I was 8 years old. Since I moved a lot and lived in a foreign country, however, I didn't get the chance to play until I was in 8th grade. Since then, I have loved every minute. This sport has become my passion and my release. From making the 8th grade A team the first time I ever tried out for a team, to making the varsity team my sophomore year, basketball has been one of the best things that has happened to me. Basketball has taught me about hard work - getting out to work even when I don't feel like it, and working through pain towards a goal. I'm a hard worker, I don't give up, am aggressive on defense, and an avid encourager. I'm a team player. On top of that, I have placed high importance on my education basically my whole school career, and I would love to play in college while at the same time pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. One of my mottos is "HGA". It's written on my basketball shoes, and it means a lot to me. It stands for "His Glory Alone". My ultimate purpose in life and reason why I play is to bring God the glory He is due. Based on that, I will consider two types of schools: either a secular college with an active on-campus ministry that I can be a part of, or a solid Christian college that is founded on Biblical principles and actually operates as such.
