Laila Newton '21 Recruiting Profile

 Ever since I was in elementry school I've loved the game of basketball. While in middle school I decided that I wanted to play at the colligiate level and I would do whatever it takes to get there. I know that with this oppportuniy it would not only change my life but it would lead me in the direction of changing my families life. 

I have a natural feel the game, strong ball handling skills and a soft stroke for shooting when I get in rhythm. I am a very outspoken passionate person, I belive everyone is good at something no matter what their skill level is so I never try to overlook. 

I strive to be the best that I can possibly be everyday I compete with myself, I never compare myself to the next player though I may be overlooked. I have no doubt in myself that with the given opportunity I can play at a next level.  

Off the court I try to push myself academically, I'm not satisfied with my current GPA and I countiued to take the necessary steps to reach my goal. I plan to take my education to the business side while I'm in college.
