Competing in sports has always been something I've been naturally good at. Being a three-sport student-athlete, for as long as I can remember, has positively affected my life. Through sports I have learned so much about myself, working with a team, and many great life lessons. Being on a team is extremely helpful in preparing you for life. There's nothing better than having your team be your second family. Also, you learn some crucial things about your true character when you are losing with a few minutes left. I have learned that I am very competitive, and will do what it takes to win the game. On the flip side, losing shows you how important a team connection is. It's easy to pout and be upset after a loss, but a good athlete supports their team and works hard to win next time. Competition shows you how bad you want something, and how hard you'll work to get it. No one wants to be second best, but the only way to be first is to put the work in.
I'm looking for a program that's a good fit for me, but also I'm a good fit for them. I want a school and a coach that will challenge me academically and athletically. I believe that I bring a lot of things to the table besides skill and talent. I provide great leadership abilities, a solid work ethic, drive, and responsibility. I also have a great set of morals, and believe in empowering teammates, which is rare in society nowadays. These personal assets make me believe I would have a great positive impact on your program!
