My collegiate goals are to obtain a degree, possibly in communications, and to play basketball at the next level. As a senior, I will be playing my fourth year on varsity this year and hope to have a very competitive season. My statistics for my junior year are for the last 6 weeks of the season as I broke my ankle in the second game of the season. I believe what will make me a good candidate for any team is my vision of the court, leadership skills, and tenacious defense. My high school coach regularly assigns me to defend the best players on the opposing team. I was awarded defensive player of the year due to my ability to hold these players (many of them already committed to play D1) to minimal points. Although I typically play small forward, I can play any position needed when other players get into foul trouble or my defensive skills are needed. Along with my defensive skills, I am also one of the leading scorers on my team. I have had several coaches (AAU and High School) tell me that one of my greatest strengths is how coachable I am. I hold myself to very high standards and push myself to be a team leader. I prioritize relationships with my teammates both on and off the court and am always trying to inspire them to play at their best.
