Basketball has always been a big part of my life. I grew up watching my brother play, and I was inspired to start playing myself in fifth grade. Being on the court is my favorite part of every day, so every time I'm there, I make the best of it. I take every opportunity to give it my all.
Catching and shooting and pullup jumpers are a part of my game that I focus much of my time on. I can shoot both threes and midrange extremely well, and my size makes me a threat on drives as well. Defense is another aspect of my game that I have a lot of pride in. If my shots just aren't connecting, I don't let it get to me; instead, I focus on my defense and shut down whoever I need to, even when they might be faster or taller than me.
I'm looking for an academically challenging college or university that will allow me to continue and improve in my basketball career, as well as further my academics and ultimately lead me to a career in sports medicine. I excel in the classroom and actually enjoy my academics, so a school with strong academics is extremely important to me.
