Savannah Reinke '23 Recruiting Profile

The game of basketball has influenced my life for as long as I can remember. The sport has touched my life so much that my career path will bring me back to the game. In college I plan to pursue my dream of becoming a sports broadcaster and major in Communications/ Digital Media with a minor in Marketing or Advertising. I maintain a 3.9 gpa, all while holding 6 leadership positions in 13 different organizations. In the off season, I keep in touch with my fundamental skills and keep in shape by playing Softball, Tennis, and Track.

During my high school career I helped lead my team to three consecutive Conference Championships, planning to make it four, and created history by becoming part of a championship team for the first time in 40 years. I always put my team first above all else, try to set a positive example and provide encouraging advice. This past season I had many post season awards, including making 1st team all conference and 1st team all district for the second time, as well as leading my team with 28% of our team points and 31% of our team rebounds for the season. I am a mentally and physically strong player with good hands. My strength allows me to drive to the basket and finish well.

While stats are always important, I am the type of player who creates plays that you don’t see on the stat sheet. I’m a player who isn’t afraid to dive head first into the court for that extra possession, take a charge, sprint back on defense, that will do anything for the sake of the win. I’m the player that will go above and beyond for the extra play, because I believe that those attempts are what it takes to win.
