Personal Statement

I am a 6’  power forward from Nashua, MT.  I have been playing basketball since the fourth grade.  I feel I have developed the ability to deal with adversity and challenge through these tough levels of competition.  I have started on the Varsity basketball team since I was 13 years old and an eighth grader.  My basketball team has been very young and we had to play against stronger and more experienced juniors and seniors.  This helped me to become more aggressive and confident with my post skills.

I plan on continuing to push myself both athletically and academically throughout high school and college.  I will complete my school’s rigorous core curriculum and have the goal to be valedictorian of my class.  I would like to attend a school where I will continue to be challenged academically.  Athletically; I am willing to red shirt a year, but ideally I would like to be in a program where I can make a big impact early in my career.  I will bring a strong work ethic, fierce determination, and leadership skills to the college team I play for.
