Kara Stricklin '24 Recruiting Profile

 My primary goal Academically, is to achieve a degree in a discipline of my choosing, and work tirelessly towards that goal.  Relating to Athletics, I have a passion for the game of basketball.  I see the GAME itself  as my ultimate competitor; not necessarily the opponents.  I'm self motivated, at all times.  Working to achieve in the classroom and to conquer the challenges within the game of Basketball; with an equal emphasis on defensive Basketball. On 17 - 22 December 2023 I competed with my team at the NIKE Tournament of Champions where I was selected to the NIKE All Tournament Team.  On December 29 - January 3 my team and I competed in the Metro Holiday Tournament where I was selected for the All Metro Tournament Team and also the All Metro Tournament First Team.  Honors I am proud of.  Our team is ambitious and diverse; made up of many parts.  Hopefully we can do something special.  On 16 March 24, I was selected by the Nebraska High School Coaches Association (NCA) to play in their annual All-Star game, scheduled for July. On 21 March 24, I was named Nebraska College Preparatory Association (NCPA) Academic All-State.  Also, I finished the season with the most 3 point shots made in a season at my school (77), which is a new school record.  Selected for the 2024 Nebraska All State Girls Basketball Team.
