Anya George '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Anya George, I love the game of basketball and I am a versatile player who works hard to assist my team to victory on and off the court.   I'm from a small city called Chester, PA (outside of Philadelphia) but I play basketball as a Guard at Paul VI School in Haddonfield NJ under Coach Hidalgo. I'm in my junior year, and I would love the opportunity to discuss what is needed to be coached by you and considered a player on your team. 

 

My collegiate athletic goals are to play at a high Division 1 school and be a major contributor to my team winning the NCAA Championship. I would be an excellent candidate for a team because I am a floor general and lockdown defender.  I create scoring opportunities for my team as well as being a lead scorer to assist my team to victory.  I look for opportunities to enhance my game and apply coach feedback to improve as needed. 

 

I’m different because I have Championship DNA.  I’m a strategic competitor and understand what it takes to compete at a high level while maintaining good grades. Basketball is a game of war and I know that we as a team have to be in sync when playing to achieve a common goal of winning.  

 

My academics are very important to me.  Currently, I have a 3.5, been on the President’s List for my sophomore year, and continue to make the Dean's List my Junior year. I love studying the body, and how it works, and plan to obtain a degree in biology.
