Personal Statement

My name is Camille Isabel Aguilar, and I have passion, faith, determination, and desire. I am passionate. I put love and hard work in everything I do, and work to accomplish everything I set my mind on. In all aspects of life, I find myself to be both a leader as well as a team player. As for adversity, it is not my enemy, for adversity is said to be "the prosperity of the great".

AwardsI was one of 3 students who were nominated by our teachers to attend a prestigious 3 year program called the Global Youth Leadership Institute. The nominees were chosen due to their leadership qualities whether they were in the classroom or on the field. Athletic Honor roll member - I have kept a GPA of 3.7 or higher all year while playing 2 or more varsity level sports.
ActivitiesI volunteer regularly at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Camden, New Jersey, Saint Mary of the Lakes Church and School in Medford, New Jersey, and YMCA Camp Matollionequay in Medford, New Jersey. At Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Mary of the Lakes, I distribute food to locals and parishioners, I bake goods in fundraisers, and I spend time with the children and play with them. At Camp Matollionequay, I took part in a leadership in training program, LITs, and the Counselor in training program, CITs. I am currently a junior counselor, or volunteer, until I can be a full time counselor.
