Briana Neary '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball for as long as I could remember. I started playing for the local Boys and Girls Club when I was 5 years old. I graduated to travel basketball at the age of 8 and AAU basketball at the age of 9. Playing at the collegiate level would be an amazing opportunity for me and has always been a dream of mine.

As a player, I am very coachable, hardworking and a leader on and off the court. I have a high basketball IQ and good court awareness. I have a big presence down in the post and also have a quick shot release.  When the game is close that is when I am at my calmest. I want the ball in my hands at the end of a game, because I believe I will make the right decision to help my team.

I am a hardworking and determined student-athlete. I maintain good grades in the classroom. When I am not doing homework or playing sports, I am helping out, by coaching, my younger brother’s basketball team. In the summer, I am a camp counselor for IYB basketball camp.

I want to attend a college that will challenge me in and out of the classroom.  Most of all, I want to make my hometown proud and my parents proud.
