I loved watching basketball but I honestly became interested in playing it because every told me to. I was tall and athletic so everyone saw it fit for me to play basketball. I have learned that I actually work well in a group setting. Working with other people is not always an easy task but I find myself being a team player.

One of my biggest academic goals for high school is to graduate with an advance regent’s diploma. I also want to graduate with a GPA of 3.5. I do not know what my specific goals for college are but I want to major in something that I am actually interested in and to be able to set myself up for a good life ahead. I think being at a disadvantage having started playing later than others was an obstacle in itself. Unlike most of my teammates who were moving on to advanced skills I was still learning the basics of the sport. I have had to work my way from behind to get to the level I am at now. Some of my unique talents include my inside play. I am versatile around the basket and can finish in the paint.
