Olympia Leckey '23 Recruiting Profile

I plan to go to a college that is accepting and diverse. I want to extend my knowledge in Biophysics and sports. I love being on a team where the girls or boys communicate and help each other. I love seeing a team that can get through anything together no matter the losses. Most importantly I want to be on a team where i can help the girls or guys and feel comfortable around them. I have been in love with the sport of basketball since I was 4.  My family never had the funds to send me to basketball camps when I was little and I didn't really have anyone or anywhere to play. In 7th grade I was finally able to play for my home town on the varsity's B team. I was new and didn't know very much about the sport but I kept with it never giving up and learning from my mistakes. I'll admit I have messed up in many games I am  not perfect nor will I ever be but every time a mistake is made the only thing we can do is learn. Mistakes are our power they make us better. If you don't make mistakes you won't get better.
