Kanighsha Thomas '22 Recruiting Profile

As my high school career comes to an end, I am constantly thinking about my future and what I aspire to accomplish in my lifetime. In the upcoming years I am going to attend college to study hospitality management.  I’m choosing this career because I enjoy working with people and performing task that involve planning, leading, and organizing. Thanks to basketball I have developed the fundamental skills to communicate to friends and family. Being the point guard on the team I have to relay the message from the coach to the other teammates. So I learned how to communicate and be heard in a  group. One reason I feel I’m a candidate is because I have confidence in myself. I have the ability to help my teammates better so we can not only grow as a team but also become a family. This is a time for me to grow.
