2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Lakin and I will be graduating in 2025. I love sports and have played a variety all my life. Basketball has always been my favorite. I've had a ball in my hand since I can remember. If I had to describe my character in sports, I would say I am motivated, determined, and a team player. I always push myself to be better than the last game. I don't like to lose, but I learn from every loss and every win. I know with every game I can be better, play a little stronger, and give a little more. I am determined to be the best of myself in whatever I do, whether athletics or academics. I study the game and create my own drills to help better my game no matter what sport I'm playing. I give my coaches 100% all the time and I value their input. Being a captain I've had to learn to be a positive leader. I've learned I'm one link in the chain, and if I'm having a bad day, so will my team mates. I have to push through and show them how to give their best, even when it's hard. Being able to continue my basketball career after high school would be a dream to carry on the sport I love.
