Brittney Sparrow '22 Recruiting Profile

   Hello, my name is Brittney Sparrow. I am a 2022 point guard enrolled at Pinecrest High School in North Carolina. Basketball to me is more than a game, it’s a committment! Many say they’ve been “playing” since a young age, but I like to say I’ve been “working” since a young age. 

    I’m thankful to be a straight A student; in which I have earned several ‘Highest Class Average’, ‘Honor Roll’,  and ‘Outstanding Citizenship’ awards. I currently have a GPA of 4.5 and I’m continuously striving to improve it. I have partaken in honors classes since 8th grade and I’m currently partaking  in AP and college courses. I have particitpated in  extracurricular organizations such as the LEO Club/ Pay It Forward Club and FCA. Being that I am a student-athlete, academics come first! I am interested in pursuing a career in Nursing/Pre-med, therefore, looking to enroll in colleges with a top-level basketball and medical program.

    Athletically, I am thankful to say that I am a 2x  basketball MVP, 2x Sandhills All-Stars team participant, and a starter on the Sandhills All-Star team who made history in 2017 by advancing to, and ultimately winning, the SWAC state championship in North Carolina. Additionally, I have participated in my high school's varsity basketball team as a leader/captain and was also nominated as an All-Conference and All-District participant. In 2020, I had the opportunity to help lead Pinecrest Lady Patriots to the state playoffs and eventually advancing to the Sweet Sixteen! With this being my final year of high school, I will strive to accomplish more than that!… Finishing off my senior year, I was able to help lead the Lady Patriots to a Conference title and into the playoffs once again!

    I am open to all opportunities and I’m 100% willing to work extremely hard to not only earn, but maintain my spot on your college team. I am humble, patient,  obedient, competitive, coachable, and committed to encouraging my teammates to be the same.  I am excited, and will continue to strive hard to become a part of your college team!
