Jeremy "Evan" Jones '23 Recruiting Profile

I go to Pinecrest High School in NC. It is a 4A school that came in third for the state tournament, dual team state semi-finalist, Regional and Conference Champs with a record of 24-1. Pinecrest also had five state placers, eight qualifiers and four returning for 2022 school year.

My teammate in the 160 weight class came in 1st in the state of NC.  This is my partner, and I wrestle in his place while he was injured this past year.  I did not have as much varsity time as I would have liked, but I still worked hard all year. My story is not over. I need more time on the mat, more time in the gym and more time with the coaches. I have a plan for training, competitions, camps and workouts over the summer. There is no off season in wrestling!

My goal is to wrestle in college while earning my degree in Special Education. I have the grades and the drive to accomplish my goals because they are very personal to me. I have a very close family member that has Down Syndrome, which has inspired me to work with children with special needs. I am coachable and have the determination and drive to accomplish my goals at the next level.
