Alivia Farnham '26 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to play basketball in college. I grew up watching older girls compete in a game they loved and I instantly fell in love myself. Once a basketball was put in my hand, I never let go. I fell in love with the fast-paced competitiveness the game brought and I felt like I could truly be myself on the court. I take pride in my talent and athleticism, but it's my work ethic and dedication to the game that make me the player I am today. When I was a little girl, I would spend hours with my dad perfecting my shot out in the driveway in the summer, and in the barn in the winter. I believe my love for the game will carry me to the places I've dreamed of going, and my hard work and resilience will help me reach my goals. My ability to elevate and shoot the ball from anywhere on the court is my strong suit, along with my high basketball IQ and court vision. I can work inside/out, while also being able to bring the ball up the floor. I am constantly working to create a shot for myself and my teammates, and I am always two plays ahead on the court. On defense, I make the hustle plays and I anticipate my opponent's next move at all times. I am a very coachable player and I'm always looking to improve and get advice from coaches and teammates with experience. Aside from basketball, I compete in volleyball and softball. Involving myself in three sports helps me stay well-rounded and each sport carries into the next. I am very committed to academics as well. I love to challenge myself in school, taking CCP and AP classes as a sophomore, and I am very driven to receive a good education. Family is very important to me and I will do anything for those that I love and care about. I'm so grateful to get the opportunity to play the game I love and grow not only as an athlete, but more importantly, as a person.
