I have been playing basketball since I was 7 years old and I can't imagine ever stopping. From multiple McCracken basketball camps since I was 11 years old to club/travel basketball...I have been working hard to achieve my goals and aspirations of playing at the collegiate level. Playing basketball has taught me so many values...teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, discipline and leadership. With this sport, in order to succeed, I truly understand the need to work hard EVERY day, making the sacrifice and commitment to your team to be the BEST and GIVE your best on the court each and every game and practice.
Playing basketball has helped me grow and develop on the court, as well as in the classroom. One of the greatest aspects about playing basketball is that the values I have learned, have carried over academically.
Understanding the focus and discipline needed in the classroom is just as important as on the court. As I start considering playing basketball in college, I know that I need to find the perfect fit for me athletically, as well as academically. Competing at the collegiate level is everything I have ever dreamed of and I believe I not only have the talent to compete at the next level, but I also have the work-ethic, character and leadership skills to help any program.
