Rachel Pigott '16 Recruiting Profile

I had the privilege to play basketball at a high level for the past 6 years. My club team has always placed in the top 8 teams in Ontario, as well as winning in various AAU tournaments. I have won MVP on my high school basketball team and at a college camp. I want to play in college to further my skills, both on and off the court, as well as getting a good education. 

I have a high basketball IQ, am strong around the rim, and am very vocal on both offense and defense.  I am a team player and I lead by example and encouragement. I work hard both on and off the court to further both myself and my team mates. I work hard to develop my game both in season and out of season. I have attended summer basketball camps and played in a summer AAU league. I was MVP at University of Buffalo summer camp. 

In the classroom, I work hard and ask questions in order to get the most out of my education. I am eager and enjoy to learn and I maintain a high GPA while challenging myself with my courses. I coach house league basketball, volunteer at a basketball camp and an elementary school, and have had many community opportunities including Student Mayor and a delegate at the regional Model UN.

I value my education very highly, and wish to find a school with a good academic program that is the right fit for me and my level of competition. I hope to gain life experience and valuable knowledge while at college, and be a role model for other athletes.
