is a shooter with good vision and shot selection. Rodriguez maneuvered inside to create her own look off the bounce from the midrange and consistently knocked down catch-and-shoot threes against Maurice Lucas Lady Enforcers 17U and NW Legends 17U EYBL at the End of the Trail NW Showcase. She made the right read whether to shoot or pass. She played solid perimeter defense.

Joining a Hermiston squad that has had quite a lot of basketball talent on the girls’ side, Sofia Rodriguez
will fit right in in her freshman season. Rodriguez is an impressive 1 on 1 defender, constantly using her length to create turnovers or block shots. As a 5’10 point guard, she will be a constant mismatch for opposing teams. Rodriguez is very prolific in attacking the middle of opposing defenses, either creating a shot of her own or an opportunity for a teammate as she draws the help.

Rodriguez is an agile combo guard with good size at 5'9", bringing a versatile skill set to the court. She smoothly transitions between playing off the ball and controlling the tempo as the lead guard. Rodriguez is adept at creating in space off the dribble, finding open teammates, and scoring at the rim. She also shoots well from range with a fairly quick release. To further elevate her game, adding a midrange pull-up jumper to her repertoire would enhance her overall scoring versatility and make her an even more dynamic offensive threat.
