A coach considering me as a recruit will find that I am hard-working, physically and mentally strong, conscientious, and willing to lead my team and accept responsibility for the outcome of a game. Although my Freshman year grades don't reflect it, I am pushing myself to improve my GPA through grade remediation and a renewed focus.
I have played basketball since 3rd grade and gave up soccer and started playing basketball competitively in the 5th grade. I have played with several AAU teams including: Clutch Players, 503 Flyers, and FAST. Even though I have played multiple positions, I have been training most recently to be a point guard. For the last two and a half years I have been training with a strength and fundamentals trainer 4-12 hours per week.
In 2013, I stopped playing AAU basketball and committed myself to training. I have strong ball handling and defensive skills and an ability to get to the basket, and I am working on making my catch-and-shoot and jumper quicker. I played with Oregon Elite in the 2015 spring and summer season but have decided to play with the Lady Warriors for my final AAU season.
FRESHMAN YEAR '13-'14
Last year, I transferred to Lake Oswego High School in Lake Oswego, Oregonfrom the Tigard-Tualatin school district because of the 25:1 staff to student ratio and to challenge myself academically. Lake Oswego is a College Prep school that has high standards for their coursework, and I am focused this year on time management and pushing myself with some advanced classes. I had a challenging time adjusting to the intense curriculum and difference in grading approach.
My goal for the season was to continue to grow my leadership skills, to earn the respect of my teammates and opponents, and to end the season with no regrets.
SOPHOMORE 14' - 15'
I am honored to be a starting Varsity guard at Tigard High School - a team that has been respected over the last several years through post-season play. I transferred back to my home school district after open enrollment rules changed at the state level, and I am happy to be playing within the program that I grew up in. I look forward to contributing to the team's successes this year and in earning my role as a leader for the upcoming years.
JUNIOR 15' - 16'
I am returning as a starting Varsity guard at Tigard High School. We are making another run this year at the post season and are currently ranked #2 in the state. I am a key contributor to our team's lock-down defense. My game style is to- be a facilitator, so I am working on being more scoring oriented.
LADY WARRIORS
My AAU team plays a dribble-drive game, which highlights my ability to control the tempo of the game, respond to what I see the defense presenting, and to create scoring opportunities for me and my team. I am really looking forward to this season!!!!
