AVA RUSH '26 Recruiting Profile

Basketball has always been a central part of my life. I grew up in the gym, watching my older sister and cousin play, and before I knew it, I had a basketball in my hands. From the very beginning, I’ve had a deep love for the game, and my competitive nature drives me to improve every single day. I set ambitious goals for myself and constantly push to achieve them. I also enjoy studying the game—watching, learning, and finding ways to grow as a player.

Growing up, I was often the tallest player on the court, which naturally led me to play in the post. However, as I developed my skills, I discovered a passion for versatility and the ability to contribute from anywhere on the court. Today, I play the wing during travel basketball, while in high school, I primarily make an impact as a post player. My length, quickness, and ability to anticipate plays give me a competitive edge on both ends of the floor. I take pride in being a relentless defender, a hustler who dives for loose balls, and a player who brings energy and effort to every game.

My ultimate dream is to compete in college and become an impactful player. When choosing a school, I’m looking for a coach who will challenge me, enhance my skills, and continue to foster my growth as an athlete. Beyond college, I aspire to take my game to the professional level. Watching the growth of women’s basketball has been inspiring, and I’m excited to contribute to its future. Through discipline, hard work, and unwavering dedication, I’m determined to make this dream a reality.
