My dad first introduced me to basketball when I was seven years old. By the time I was nine, I fell in love with basketball and knew I wanted to play in college and dedicate myself to the game. Being able to surround myself in basketball has been my focus, and continues to be my goal. I want to be able to stretch basketball into my adult life by choosing a career path that basketball is involved in. Of course facing challenges and injuries are hard but I have proven to myself that I have what it takes to fight and become better. Not just fighting to become a better player but also to become a better teammate. This has taught me that you can never take what you have for granted because you’ll never know when it will be taken from you. I take both school and basketball seriously being in all honors classes and having a 4.285 GPA. My parents have always stressed that hard work comes with great results and I use this statement for school and basketball. My parents have always been my #1 supporters and I appreciate them and everyone around me. I have built good relationships with my coaches. Not just because of what I can do on the court, but also because of my work ethic and my drive to consistently improve my skill set and knowledge of the game.
