My family, church and school are very influential in my life. Our family has a strong faith and is loving and supportive of each other. I have 2 older brothers that obtained professional degrees while participating in college athletics. My sister is a nursing student and plays college basketball too. I attend a very challenging private high school at St Thomas More High School with high demands on excellence in academics along with high expectation in athletics. I have played soccer and basketball since 2nd grade and have been fortunate to be able to continue playing basketball at a high level with a perennial strong program under coach Kandolin, winning 6 state basketball championships in the past 8 years. I have learned that my size can be my strength and that being a good team mate can be better than being the best player on the team. I have more fun making a good pass than a making good shot! I tend to be a very competitive person and have worked hard to be the best person and player I can be at home, in school and on the court and field. I volunteer in my community to help others and also work to make some money when I have time. I hope to graduate high school with at least a 3.7 GPA and score a 26 or better on my ACT. I would like to pursue a degree in nursing so I can dedicate my life to helping others. I have a strong faith, an untiring work ethic and seek challenges and opportunities to grow to be the best person I can be.
