Personal Statement

I would like to play college basketball at a competitive program where I can grow as an athlete and as a person.  Playing college basketball has been a dream since I was a little girl. I am a very hard worker with tremendous drive and a very good work ethic, and give my best at all times. I hear the term mental toughness talked about a lot and that is what I strive to have both athletically and academically.  I am always trying to improve by learning new tasks and paying particular attention to detail. When I fail and make make mistakes, I quickly learn from them but move on. I always give my best, even when I am tired. In the classroom and on the court. I have the career aspiration to major in Media Communications and coach basketball at the collegiate level.

  • Madison Ferrara, Hendersonville (TN), is a talented 5'9 140 lb prospect from our Elite camp, that our college coaches identified as having potential. Madison has a highly coveted wingspan, that makes the player a cornerstone on the defensive end in addition to having an overwhelming size for position that a player can take advantage of offensively and defensively. The player does a fantastic job of distributing the basketball and seeing the floor. The player is always anticipating where and when teammates will be open. In terms of ball handling, it was one of the strongest aspects of the player's game. The player makes great use of change of speed and change of direction. Basketball IQ was one of the player's greatest strengths. There was a great emphasis on making theright play, and that will be a big advantage in recruiting. A big part of IQ is shot selection. Madison does almost always shoots the ball with great space and rhythm. This advantage will continueto develop by watching how this is done at the college level. The prospect shot lights out during camp, and was one of the best shooting players we had. that will continue to develop with form shooting and repitions at game speed. The talent did a tremendous job of finishing around the rim. With great ability with both hands, the player has the potential to finish on any defense. The talented player is an exceptional athlete proving to be an advantage on both ends of the floor having athleticism that is in the upper quartile of hoopers. We determined strength to be one of best qualitiesas a prospect. Combined with the player's great frame, the player will be ahead of schedule in terms of being physically ready to play at the next level. The talent had an impressive motor that we believe will translate well at the next level. and from what we saw, the player had a physical and mental toughness that will be coveted at the next level. The player showed excellence on the defensive side of the ball and exemplified individual and team defensive concepts that we highlighted at camp. Madison has potential wit2019 TN ScoutsFocus State Ranking(will Post Dec 15, 2017): 1 2019 TN ScoutsFocus State Ranking(will Post Dec 15, 2017): 1 2019 National ScoutsFocus Ranking : 2 Top 100 Overall (Regardless of Class): 9 Top 100 Overall (Regardless of Class): 9 h continued hard work and development both in the classroom and on the hardwood.
