Personal Statement

I aspire to play basketball on the next level. I have a good attitude, and I am a team player. I recognize that playing basketball is a gift. I am driven to do my best, and I always work hard on the court and in the classroom. I am able to get to the basket. I play very good defense. My school made history this year by winning district and going to the 6A state championship for the first time. My best game this season I scored 18 points. Even when I didn't play the first few games of the season I continued to work hard at practice to bring the best of me to the court when I would be given the opportunity to play.

A solid player with potential. Mariah possess very good size for position and the prospect has very good length and very good athleticism. Mariah reported a superb academic resume and proved to have very good basketball IQ. The prospect displayed superb shot selection in addition to being a superb shooter with time and space. The prospect was evaluated as having a very good body type for the next level. The player's strength was rated very good but should continue to develop with age and a regimented weight/conditioning program. The player displayed a fantastic motor in addition to showing fantastic toughness. The 2018 prospect exemplified very good passing ability and very good ball handling skills. Finishing ability around the basket appeared to be superb and from an overall defensive standpoint the prospect is superb. Defensively we would like to see continued improvement on and off the ball in addition to always seeing man and ball. We would emphasize staying lower on both ends of the court. In addition we would like for you to continue learning how to play without the ball as most players only have the ball a max of 10% of the game. We are excited to monitor this prospect's development in the future and would like to see continued improvement in all areas we rated as decent or good to fully maximize college potential. Scouts Focus and our college coaching staff believes Mariah has scholarship potential with continued hard work and development both in the classroom and on the hard wood. Can play the 3.
