My goal is to get a full athletic (basketball) scholarship. Although I want to be recognized nationally for my talents and skills, I am the kind of player who cares about the win first. The team comes before me. My dad has taught me it is ok to celebrate your accomplishments, and that your game and attitude is what earns respect - not trash talking. My parents have also taught me that grades come before basketball, and that playing basketball is a privilege that can be taken away with poor grades or injury. I will truly be a "student athlete." Because I will most likely not ever be the biggest player on the court, my effort, energy, and attitude will shine on the court.
