Personal Statement
I am a believer in a quote by Wayne Gretzky, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." I am a go getter, a doer and a tryer. I strive to be the best student and athlete that I can be inside and outside of school. I am a leader on and off the court. I was taught that having good morals and respect is one of the most valuable aspects in life and is the stepping stone to creating a successful life. I have been set aside from other students and athletes because I embrace good morals and respect. I am praised by my teachers and coaches all the time for having those traits. As a freshman, I made the girls varsity basketball team in a very competitive 6A high school. I also received the 6A All-District honorable mention award, in which I am privileged and take great pride in being selected for this award. Getting the 6A All-District honorable mention award gives me more ambition to work harder and to be a better player not only for myself but for my team and my coaches. I want to attend a college that will fit my needs academically and also have the privilege to play basketball for a coach and team that sees me as a true asset to them. My current career goal is to become an architectural engineer, as math and science have always been my strong point and I am a hands on kind of girl. I am truly blessed to have parents and coaches that support me and see my true potential academically and athletically. Without their continued support and guidance I would not be the student and athlete I am today.
