I have been playing basketball since I was in second grade. My love and passion for basketball led me to aspire to one day play at the collegiate level and earn a degree in an area that I feel I can help others in. Through basketball and strong coaching I have been molded to be a strong leader, a good role model, and have always had a relentless work ethic.
There are a lot of choices that college coaches have to select players for their team and I believe that I have what it takes to play at the next level. I, like so many others, have worked very hard to get to where I am today. I have been working very hard since I was in elementary school to pull myself up to a higher level academically and athletically. School was not always easy for me, but because of the great teachers I have had, coupled with working hard, I can proudly say that I now hold a 3.4 gpa! Additionally, with any extra time I have, I use it to improve my skills, or I am volunteering to work with special needs students.
In closing, I would like to add that I have been playing and starting on my Varsity team since I was a Freshman. I have been on the 6A all-district team since my Sophomore year and the leading 3 point-shooter in the class 6-6A since I was a sophomore, as well.
