My name is Briana and I am 17 years old. I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old. I used to swim competitively for a USA swim team. After 12 years of swimming I decided the main sport I wanted to focus on was basketball. Basketball is very important in my life. It has allowed me to become a better athlete on and off the court. Leadership is very important to me and I hope to become team captain for my high school team this year. Being a team leader requires many skills that I believe I have. A positive attitude, responsibility, and a good work ethic are just a few skills I possess. I feel that I would be a strong asset to anyones team due to the fact that I am a very hard worker. One thing I have learned throughout my years of playing is to always give a hundred and ten percent on and off the court. I always give my team, my coach, and my teachers my very best. I also strive to maintain a high level of excellence in my studies and am pleased to say I have achieved good placement among my classmates. I hope to play for a college in Texas. I was born and raised in Texas and I hope to stay close. Although I wouldn't mind playing some where else. I plan to keep my options open and pursue my dream of becoming a collegiate athlete.
