My name is Brianna Pena, and I am a 5'8" point guard/ guard. Having dedicated most of my life to the sport of basketball, I have been blessed to receive many accolades, allowing me to realize that hard work does in fact pay off. Throughout my high school career, I have been fortunate enough to help my team reach back to back Sweet 16 appearances in Class 6A Texas State playoffs. Likewise, all four years in which I was in varsity, we obtained four district championships. Accumulating such accomplishments has helped me set high goals regardless of circumstance. Over the course of my four high school seasons, I had been selected to participate in competitive events such as All Valley Showcases, and the TGCA All State- All star game (2016-2017). With those aforementioned events marking a great experience, it has also allowed me to engage with the competitive atmosphere that the sport of basketball is comprised of. I have dedicated my efforts on and off the court, for being a student athlete needs the attributes of diligence, responsibility, and pride in everything they do. With that being said, I have grown to love the game of basketball and all that it bestows, and therefore would want nothing other than to be fortunate enough to play at the next level, for I believe that I acquire the necessary qualities to do so.
