2024 Highlights
Skills Clinic Feb...I fell in love with basketball when I was playing in a local recreation league at eleven years old (6th grade). I love the action, playing as a team, and the amazing feeling of accomplishment basketball provides. I have been given the opportunity to play Junior Varsity as an 8th grader and now both Junior Varsity and Varsity as a Freshman for the 2023-2024 season. I have been a team captain on my Junior Varsity team prior to moving up to the Varsity team. I enjoy playing year-round at the Fredericksburg Fieldhouse on both girls’ and co-ed leagues. The co-ed leagues have challenged me to improve my game to play against boys. Coach Antwuan Gay, director of the league and my personal skills coach, has inspired me to improve my game, leadership capabilities, and love of the game of basketball. I have recently started being an assistant coach for a 7–9-year-old co-ed league. This had been a fun and challenging addition to my basketball adventure.
My academic goal for college is to become a Pediatrician to help children. Having goals of completing a medical degree and playing basketball at the collegiate level will be a challenge, but I’m up for the challenge. I would love for basketball to help enable me to accomplish my academic goals and allow me to inspire other children to love the game of basketball. I aspire to graduate with an advanced High School Diploma with a 4.0 GPA.
