Emma Owens '16 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with basketball the first time I ever stepped foot onto the court. My passion for the game continues to grow stonger as I dedicate my time to training and working out. As a student athlete I understand the importance of working hard in school as well as on the court. I take pride in being on a team with others who have the same fire burning inside them as I do. I aspire to play at the collegiate level and will do anything it takes to succeed. I communicate well on the court and cheer for my teammates when I am on the bench. I love to play defense and I am a presence in the paint. I have a great mid-range shot and have been working hard to become a 3-point shooter as well. My strength helps to make up the difference when my opponent is taller than me I use my body to move them out of the paint. I am very competitive and make every second of the game count.
