Thank you for taking the time to look at my NCSA profile! I'd like to take a few minutes to tell you about myself.
My parents have always pushed me to find a passion and to do everything in my power to pursue that passion and to have fun doing so along the way. This has led me to be open to new opportunities and challenges and to be open-minded to a variety of new experiences and pursuits.
I played a number of different sports growing up - basketball, cheerleading, soccer, volleyball, and softball. while I enjoyed those sports and did well, I have found that my true passion, athletically, is basketball. From about the age of 12, most of my athletic focus has been playing basketball to the best of my ability. This has included travel/AAU play, high school varsity play, and off-season strength training. Now that I am in my Junior year of high school, I am very much interested in pursuing my athletic passion at the college level.
I think I bring to the table passion, hard work, and skill. I am the type of player that tries to lift my team and loves when my teammates succeed. My personal success is secondary to the team's success. The sport of basketball is truly a team sport and is always much more fun and exciting when the team, as a whole, succeeds.
Another facet of my game that will serve me well at the next level is my ability to fill many different team needs. I can score inside and outside, rebound, get out on the fast break, and defend well. My passing ability is another plus. I play the game with my head up and make passes to players in a better position to score than I may be in. I have a very good ability to see the game and make good decisions with, and without, the ball. Hopefully, that comes across in my stats and videos.
As for academics, I have always been a good student. I believe my grades and class load show that. I know that while playing basketball is a passion, it has a finite duration. Therefore, I am very much focused on choosing a college where I can gain the knowledge and experience that will serve me well long after my basketball playing days are over. I'm looking for the ultimate college experience. To me that means a college where I feel at home, make great friends, have excellent professors, get a great education, earn a great degree, and have fun playing basketball.
My parents always tell me that there is a great college for everyone and I truly believe that. This is why I am so excited about this part of my journey. I know I'll be exposed to a lot of great schools that can offer all that I am looking for and I know that I have a lot to offer, athletically and academically, in return.
Thank You!
