Kynza Ingram '28 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kynza Ingram, class of 2028, and I’m a 5’6” guard that started playing basketball in the 8th grade.  My freshman year in high school, I played on JV and started all games as the point guard, finishing the season at 15-3, and leading the team in scoring and steals.  This past high school season, my sophomore year, I played on the Varsity team as the 6th man.

For AAU basketball (Spring/Summer 2025), I play for the Virginia Elite 16U girls' team and we play on the Under Amour Girls Rise Circuit.

During the Spring/Summer 2025, I plan on attending numerous Elite Camps, to showcase the skills that I've improved on and to learn from the coaches at each event to make me the best player that I can be.  I want to be able to play at the college level and the best way to do that is to play against the best, learn from the best, and be open to the advice that is given to me by those that have been there.  

Before playing basketball, I was a member of a gymnastic travel team.  I also hold a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo and was a member of the club’s competitive poomsae and demo teams.  With both teams, we’ve competed in local, state, and regional tournaments as either a team or individually; I’ve won a few tournaments or placed in top 3 in others. 

I learned leadership in taekwondo as an instructor to all belt levels after school and it has carried over to basketball.  During basketball practices and games, I show leadership, teamwork and a positive attitude, by up lifting my teammates after a bad play and congratulating them for good plays.  I believe I can bring good defense, shooting and great leadership to any college team I play on.

Academically I have worked hard, and it shows because since 7th grade, I’ve been taking honors level classes.  Playing basketball in college is not my only goal.  My other goal in college is to earn either a Pre-Vet (medical) or Biology degree so that I can then go earn a Veterinarian Degree.  I’m a hard worker and I work hard to make sure I finish all that I must.  This is true for both my grades and basketball.
