Sports have been a central part of my life, especially basketball, which I’ve played for six years. Starting on a a county recreational team and now competing with high school girls varsity team, I’ve grown into a versatile player, thriving in different positions to support my team. I consider my primary position power forward and love this position because I am very competitive and aggressive. I love attacking the net and driving the lane. I have also played center. This has provided me valuable experience and insight into the game. In these positions I can use my speed, strength and focus in different ways- to help my team win!
Alongside basketball, I am a USA Judo National Champion. I have been a member of the USA JUDO National Team for the past 4 years. I have won Silver medals in 2 PanAmerican Tournaments and have competed in the World Championships 2 times- representing TEAM USA Women -70 kg. I am ranked number 1 in the USA at U18 -70kg, ranked #2 in U21 -70kg, and ranked #1 at Women Elite -70 kg. Competing in both sports has taken me to 14 countries, where I’ve gained valuable life experiences. These journeys have shaped my drive, discipline, and adaptability, qualities I carry with me in everything I do. I have learned how to compete under pressure and developed strong training habits to get me to this level.
I am also a Varsity Soccer player. The speed, endurance and agility needed on the field really helps improve my game on the court.
I have been carefully working on my "mental game" and preparing for matches (in all sports) with positive visualization tactics- which has helped deepened my success on and off the court. I feel that the mental game is what will help elevate me to the next level.
I am excited about hopefully getting the opportunity to play college basketball. It is something that I am driven to do- and I know I can be a strong asset to any team with may versatility, background, experiences and strong work ethic.
