What I have learned playing with and against the best girls in the country in high level AAU tournaments, is that if you aren't tall and lack blazing speed, and you want to have success, you better be the smartest, most skilled and hardest working player on the court - and you better be able to shoot the basketball. And that's what you get with me. To compete at the highest levels, I HAVE to be the most skilled player on the court, so I never stop working to improve my game. Nobody outworks me. I am a great teammate and leader - on and off the court. And although I love to shoot (and score), what I love more than anything is to make that great pass nobody sees coming that sets up a teammate for an easy score (and draws a reaction from the crowd).
I played travel soccer in VA for years, but once I found basketball, I knew I found my passion and thus began a love affair with the gym. Luckily, I am blessed to have two great parents who support my dream and have given me access to the very best player development opportunities (camps, AAU, private training), as well as daily rides to the gym and rebounding duty. :-) We train every day!
Basketball is the "family" sport. My grandfather was a great basketball player back in the day. My Aunt Meggan was recruited by EVERYONE, played Division I (Nebraska - still holds school record for assists) and professionally overseas. My Uncles were the stars of their high school teams, and my cousin is currently playing Division III college basketball after a star studded high school career. I hope to be the next member of my family to play basketball in college. I hope you will take a chance on me - I won't disappoint!
