Jansi Merz '21 Recruiting Profile

I am Jansi Merz and I am a Senior playing at Wahkiakum High School and for the Hoopstars Family AAU team. I started playing basketball when I was in kindergarten and have loved playing it ever since. Sports, especially basketball, have always been a huge part of my life which is why I want to continue to play at the next level. 

I have been on Varsity since my 8th grade year. Every year my contribution and leadership role have grown tremendously and I have also learned to step out of my comfort zone. This year especially I will need to put my teams needs above my own as we are on a mission to bring home the gold ball for the 2B State Girls Basketball Championship. 

My favorite thing about many teams I have been on is the family aspect and knowing that everyone has everyones backs. That is what I am looking for in a team and I know that I would be a great fit on a team that has a team first mindset.
