Janaia Fargo '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a devoted student athlete who is motivated to excel in all areas of life including my academic and sport careers.  I am a two-sport varsity athlete both freshman and sophmore years in basketball and track.  As a freshman at Musselman High School, my shuttle hurdle relay team won the WV State Championship.  Academically, I was chosen to be a part of the health and science technology academy in WV.  I have also been vice president for two consecutive years of my 2020 class.  My parents have played a major roll in my development as a student athlete.  I believe that I am a selfless team player who understands that in order to win, we must compete as a team.  I enjoy playing defense and have the capability to cover quick guards and the length to guard bigger players.  On the offensive side, I enjoy creating opportunities for teammates but have the speed to attack the basket and the range to shoot 3 pointers, as well.  My goals are to study medicine and compete in basketball at the collegiate level.
