Personal Statement
My name is Alexa Jarecki. I live in New Berlin, Wisconsin and attend Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am a junior and will graduate in May 2021. I am the middle child out of three, with an older sister and a younger brother. Sports have been a huge part of all our lives as we have grown up playing soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track. I have been playing basketball since I was about seven years old and I am hoping to be able to achieve my athletic goal of playing at a collegiate level as well as my academic goals in my future field. With all of the sports I have played over the years, basketball is my favorite. When I devote and commit myself to something whether it be a sport or volunteering, I work my hardest to be the best version of myself that I can be. I am lucky to have been able to be on my high school's varsity basketball team since my freshman year and each year I am continuing to grow into a stronger player than the previous year. I believe my positive attitude and hard work ethic benefit my team greatly. I am dedicated to the sport and my team and I continue to work at not only improving my skills, but to also help my teammates reach their full potential as players. I want to have a great college experience and I hope basketball can be a part of that experience for me! Basketball has brought me many great teammates, coaches, memories, and opportunities in life and I am excited to see what my future will hold.
