Personal Statement
My Name is Payton Grenzer and currently a Junior student-athlete at New Holstein High School located in New Holstein, Wisconsin. I have been playing varsity basketball since I was a first-year student in high school. My sophomore year, I averaged 12.7 points per game and lead the team with 8.6 rebounds per game and achieving Honorable Mention All-Conference. I have been playing basketball since third grade and competitive AAU for the past 4 years. I started playing with the Wisconsin Lakers for 3 years, then transferred to Wisconsin Blizzards. I have been around basketball for good part of my life and want to continue my goal of playing College ball. Outside of the season, I like to put in added hours of work honing my skills. I am a very coach-able athlete and a very committed teammate and student-athlete.
My goal is to play college basketball because I want to continue to highlight my talents that I have learned from putting the hours and demanding work learning this sport I love. I want to be able to be a student/athlete that can better a team while I am studying for my Business Degree. I have loved the sport itself since I was young and had always worked hard to get the opportunity to play at the collegiate level after high school.
In my free time, I enjoy going to my family farm and working with my beef cattle to compete showing at the County Fair. I volunteer at my community church as a mass server and also a member of our area 4-H Club since 2014 to present. I am also a starter for our High School Varsity Volleyball Team as center front. I am in the gym 4 days a week working with my varsity basketball coach on new post moves that will help my basketball skills grow and for me to reach my goals of playing basketball at the next level competitively.
