I have always been a very competitive person who loves the feeling of adrenaline rushing through me as any game is about to start. Ever since I started playing volleyball, I knew it was my passion, and that I wanted to go somewhere with it. I have been raised in a very athletic family, so they know how to push me to be my best. I’m a very motivated, driven athlete, and I am gaining experience constantly as a beach volleyball player. I started by playing indoor, and although I still love it, beach has also become a passion of mine. Both of my parents played volleyball when they were younger, so I grew up with it, starting when I was 8. My dad is a personal trainer, so off the court, we train weekly by increasing my speed, agility and vertical.
On the court, I have very good court awareness, and always have a game plan with strategies before I begin by using great control and consistency. I have a very outgoing attitude and I’m always positive, which helps to bring up my teammates when something isn’t going right. I would be a great teammate because I’m very relatable and understanding, which has always helped me to make friends easily. I believe that the first step to making a great team is when all the teammates understand and trust each other.
Outside of volleyball, I always push myself to do the best in school. My whole life I have had straight A’s and have been on honor roll every year. Although volleyball is important, I know my academics play a huge roll in being able to play the sport I love. My long term goals at a collegiate level are to be successful in some sort of medical field, while also contributing to my volleyball team.
