Hello! I'm Lola Shook and I aspire to play beach volleyball competitively in college. I started playing beach when I was 11 years old and fell in love with the sport. I am committed to beach volleyball. Last year, I made the decision to fully commit to beach from playing competitive indoor. I am driven to play beach volleyball at the collegiate level.
I started playing indoor volleyball when I was 8 years old. I have been on numerous competitive indoor club teams, such as Absolute and NorCal. My coaches and peers see me as a team player. I have been picked by my teammates to be captain for my club teams for the last three years. I made varsity as a freshman and work hard to be the best teammate possible. I was blessed to receive the MVP and Coaches award in my Junior year on the Varsity Volleyball team. I have spirit and drive to fight for every point we put on the scoreboard.
School has always been second nature to me. I have taken two AP and two Honors classes at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, California. I have maintained a high GPA of 4.14 throughout my Junior year. I will go above and beyond to achieve high grades. My top priorities in a University are academics and athletics.
I strive to better myself everyday mentally and physically. When I am given a task I will not stop until it is done and perfected. I have great relationships with my coaches because I am extremely coachable and committed. A college beach volleyball program needs solid teamwork as well as spirit and I will contribute my energy and talent to your beach volleyball program!
