I became interested in diving when I was eight years old. Over the years, I’ve grown to love this sport because it enables me to challenge myself and push past my comfort zone. Diving has helped me gain self confidence through learning new dives and competing. I also embrace the supportive nature of the sport. I am a very determined and coachable athlete, always giving my best effort to following corrections and improving my dives. The highlight of my diving career so far has been qualifying for the Illinois State Meet both my sophomore and junior years.
In college, I hope to find a diving program that challenges me to continue pushing my limits. I aim to be a supportive and hard working addition to my future team, no matter where it is. My high school team has taught me the importance of having supportive teammates and a strong team bond. They have also taught me important life skills such as time management and balancing academics with athletics. I am confident these skills have helped prepare me to become a strong college athlete.
