Adyson Downey '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Adyson Downey and I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I am a high performance student athlete having qualified and competed at the Canadian Junior Elite Nationals the last  3 consecutive years, as well as finished 9th in Canada this past year on platform. I have also had national recognition for my scholastic abilities through math contests. 

I am looking for a college that offers a strong education in science and math fields, where I feel a strong connection within the college community. With my current club team, I have very tight bonds. Our friendships extend far past the pool. I am a caring, empathetic and conscientious person and value having a close team.

Outside of the pool, I enjoy the arts, making cards for my friends and playing the piano. I also help my grandfather with his woodworking projects, fixing up furniture and birdhouses. When I have the time, I also enjoy knitting and have made scarfs, hats and neck warmers for my family and friends. 

I have a very strong work ethic, am focused and very organized enabling me to be a top performing athlete and student. I have been fortunate to attend one of Canada’s top private schools and have achieved top marks in many of my classes consistently.
