Sonya Palkhivala '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sonya Palkhivala and I have been diving since I was 5 years old.  I currently train at the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Center in Montreal with my coach Jim Wynne. I am beginning to pursue diving in international and senior events. 

Despite covid, my team and I have been able to complete zoom training and at-home workouts. I've persisted through shoulder injuries and dislocated ribs and have no intention of letting anything stop my future within the sport.

As well as sport, academics are a big part of my life. I am passionate about Science and am looking to study within the field of physics (focus on astrophysics) and/or chemistry. I am an avid learner and very curious about the world around me. I observe things analytically which has helped me throughout diving and in my studies.

Diving is something that I truly enjoy and wish to pursue at the highest level.
