I’ve been diving for just over three years, and my journey into the sport started in an unexpected way. During a cross-country workout my freshman year, I ended up at the pool, playfully doing flips off the diving board. The swim coach happened to see me and asked if I had ever tried diving. I hadn’t—but I was immediately intrigued. That moment sparked a passion that’s grown ever since.
I have a strong gymnastics background from childhood, which gave me a solid foundation in body awareness, air control, and discipline—skills that have translated naturally to diving. Living in rural Iowa, I joined the Midwest Diving Club, where I’ve been dedicated to refining my technique and expanding my skill set. I train on 1M, 3M, and platform, and I make it a priority to attend camps and clinics to further develop as an athlete.
I believe I’m a great teammate because I’m committed to lifting others up and helping everyone improve. Looking ahead, my collegiate goal is to join a program that feels like a close-knit family—where we push each other to be the best versions of ourselves, both in and out of the pool. I’m also seeking a school with strong academics and a diverse, inclusive environment, where we can challenge one another, grow together, and compete at the next level.
