My dad started teaching me golf when I was seven years old and although I enjoyed the sport, I never realized how much I loved golf until I broke my wrist in ninth grade. I could not play in tournaments for 6 weeks. I missed golf so much that I began to practice left-handed until my right wrist healed. During that time I developed a newfound passion for the sport. I have been on the middle school and high school golf team and have learned sportsmanship and teamwork. We work hard, play well, and overcome obstacles together.
My parents have a great work ethic. They motivate me to be diligent in achieving excellence in both academics and golf. I have worked hard to improve my academic performance, and am currently a straight-A student.
Although golf is my primary passion, I also love to read. My favorite books are science fiction and mystery. When I am not playing golf, I almost always have a book in my hands. I also enjoy classical music and often join my grandfather for a symphony.
