I am a double athlete, who enjoys playing both golf and volleyball. Although I play volleyball at a high level in club and high school, my passion is to pursue golf at a collegiate level. I currently play in tournaments in Los Angeles and Ventura County, generally placing 1st to 4th place in each tournament. My high school did not have a girls golf program when I entered in 9th grade, so I played on the boys varsity team, placing 1st or 2nd amongst the boys. Eventually, I was able to help my school develop a girls program which I am very proud of. Playing two highly competitive sports has helped me build confidence and grit, as I was always told that I was shy and quiet. It is through these two sports, that I have found my voice. Sports have helped me learn to focus, work hard and manage my time effectively. On the weekends that I do not play in tournaments, I enjoy working with an organization called SCGA Junior, where I volunteer providing free golf lessons to children in Inglewood, CA.
Outside of volleyball and golf, my biggest passion is animal welfare. I intend on pursuing a path in veterinary medicine or marine biology. I am currently the President of the Animal Welfare Society at my school. In my free time, I enjoy art, spending time with my dog and kitten, and doing anything that requires being outdoors.
